Do What You Love - Money Will Follow
Published October 27, 2008 by admin
I once talked to a very successful business man, a guy that has more money than he can find things to do with. He did not seem to try hard to get rich as other rich people I knew. He was rich and money seemed to come to him easily. He had this advice:
“Follow what you love and money will follow you”
At the time, it did not totally sink in. Today, I understand completely what he meant.
When you do something that you love, you do not ‘try hard” to do it, your stress level is very low. You seem to play instead of working. You can work for very long hours without much effort. When you are doing something that you do not like, you have to try hard, convince yourself of the use of what you are doing and fight the natural tendency not to do it. Everything seems unnatural.
Almost anything under the sun has a meaning for somebody and if you know how to market your skills, somebody is willing to pay for those skills. Do you have to play football or write? Do you like to meditate? There are markets for all those skills. You can teach people to meditate and get paid for it. You can play football and make big money. You can ghostwrite and get paid for that.
Do you speak another language and like helping people getting their message across from one language to another? You can become a translator
Think about your natural skills and start making money
